HERE'S NEWS ABOUT ZIMBABWE TOUR OF TEAM INDIA (SUSPENSE ON DHONI'S ATTEMPT)

The national selection committee under Sandeep Patil are set to leave it to limited overs captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni to decide on whether he will make himself available or not for the short tour of Zimbabwe from June 11-20.
It has been learnt that the five selectors have spoken to most of the senior India regulars intimating them that they are keen to send a new look junior team to the African nation in order to test the bench strength.
According to a reliable BCCI source, the selection committee is likely to only make an exception for Dhoni keeping in mind that he will not have any international assignment till March next year during which India will play 17 Test matches.
“Yes, it is true that selectors have spoken to some of the senior Indian players intimating them that they would be looking at juniors during this tour. While Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan were set to be rested, there were some seniors, who had made themselves available for the tour. But selectors told them that only exception may be made for Dhoni, who no longer plays Test cricket,” a top BCCI source said.
“The selection committee has left it completely on Dhoni to decide whether he wants to go or not. He is free to opt out as he has also played a lot of cricket but if he does not go, he will not have a single limited overs assignment till March next year. In case Dhoni is reluctant, then Ajinkya Rahane is the likely choice to lead the side,” the source added.
“Also Zimbabwe is a nine-day trip with all matches being held at the same venue (Harare Sports Club ground). It will not be hectic in terms of traveling also,” the source further added.
The other objective will be to check out the youngsters, who have emerged after a good IPL season as to how they absorb the pressure of playing for the senior national team although Zimbabwe are not exactly the toughest side in international cricket.
Murali Vijay and KL Rahul are two players who have a fair chance of making it to the Zimbabwe bound tour. In fact Vijay last played limited overs cricket in Zimbabwe last year under Rahane’s leadership. Rahul is also set to get a look in after an impressive IPL.
Among the pacers, Jasprit Bumrah, who is a regular in T20 Internationals may like to play the three ODIs adding to his kitty of a solitary 50-over match at the international level.
Mohammed Shami, Sandeep Sharma, Mohit Sharma are some of the contenders with Ashish Nehra already being ruled out for atleast four months due to a career-threatening hamstring tendon injury.
Leg-spinner Murugan Ashwin, all-rounder Krunal Pandya are some of the names that will be discussed. Some of the tested players like Amit Mishra, Piyush Chawla may also get a look-in but if the selectors opt for youth policy, they may not be considered. Ditto for KKR veterans Gautam Gambhir and Yusuf Pathan, who have done well but are in their mid-30’s.

IS SHAHRUKH IN SULTAN ?

Ever since Salman and Shah Rukh Khan patched things up, we just can’t get enough of them.
And it seems their feelings are mutual too because we saw a lot of pictures of them bonding and having hearty conversations. It’s as if they always wanted to get back together but didn’t know how to. We don’t really care how it all happened because we just love what happened. We love the two Khans together and so we are immensely excited about Shah Rukh‘s cameo in Sultan. But sorry to disappoint, we hear the makers have decided not to keep it in the film.

RCB BEAT KINGS X1 PUNJAB FULL MATCH REVIEW

Bangalore: Skipper Virat Kohli scripted yet another magnificent century to power Royal Challengers Bangalore to a dominating 82-run win over bottom-placed Kings XI Punjab via Duckworth Lewis method in a rain-hit IPL clash and stay on course for a play-off berth, on Wednesday.
Kohli (113 off 50 balls) battled immense physical pain to notch up his fourth century in the ongoing IPL season and also became the only batsman to score more than 800 runs in a single edition. His tally stands at 865 runs from 13 matches.
Kohli, who had sustained multiple stitches due to a split webbing in his left hand, hit 12 fours and eight sixes and alongwith Chris Gayle (73) amassed a whirlwind 147-run opening stand to help RCB post an imposing 211-3 after the match was reduced to a 15-over affair following rain.
The hosts then returned to restrict Kings XI for 120 in 14 overs to register their seventh win and reach the second spot in points table with 14 points in 13 matches. They are now tied at 14 points with Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Lions.
Chasing a mammoth 212 to win, none of the Kings XI batsmen could stitch a partnership as the pressure to hit big shots saw them make their back way to the hut. Wriddhiman Saha (24) was the top-scorer for Punjab.
For Bangalore, spinner Yuzvendra Chahal (4/25) returned with a four-wicket haul, while Sreenath Aravind (2/18) and Shane Watson (2/7) scalped two wickets each.
In the end, Punjab were 120-9 with just one over to go when heavens opened up again and the result of the match was decided by the Duckworth Lewis method.
Earlier, Kohli and Gayle butchered the Kings XI Punjab bowlers with a 66-ball 147-run stand after being asked to take the first strike by Kings XI Punjab skipper Murali Vijay following a delayed start due to rain.
Gayle started the onslaught early on and his scintillating 32-ball innings was studded with four boundaries and eight sixes. Kohli also continued his rampaging form as the duo amassed 53 runs in the Powerplay overs.
The RCB skipper reached his fifty in 28 balls and alongwith Gayle brought up the team hundred in 8.5 overs at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Gayle reached his 50 off 26 balls in the ninth over with the help of a flat six off Axar Patel over deep midwicket.
However, he was dismissed in the 11th over caught by David Miller at long-off.
Four balls later, AB de villiers (0) was sent back to the pavillion by Kyle Abbott when the South African was trying to make room to play a shot only to end up dragging it back onto the stumps.
In the third ball of the 14th over, Kohli flicked Sharma between deep midwicket and long-on to reach his three-figure landmark and then gestured at his left hand, indicating the pain that he endured through the innings.
Kohli then blasted Sharma for a six and a four before another attempt to sent him out of the park ended with a mishit, which was safely caught by Miller at long-off.
Lokesh Rahul then blasted three fours, scoring an unbeaten 16 off 6 balls.
